In Save a Piece of the Sky, Boussard utilizes her characteristic
stylized images of land and sky, people and animals,
to register a plea for preservation of what she believes
is best about Montana. The central triangle represents
the artist’s vision of Montana in its ideal state;
the triangle on the left represents disorder and chaos
created by humans exploiting the land; and the triangle
on the right represents man living in harmony with the
environment.
