Gennie DeWeese has lived, painted, and taught in Bozeman since 1950. She has exhibited widely throughout the region and won numerous awards for individual works.

In addition she has been awarded both the Governor’s Award for the Arts and an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts in recognition of her long-term contributions to the Montana art scene.
