Burning Bush is a fall landscape in the western woods.
The forest floor is littered with brown and green leaves
from trees overhead; a red osier dogwood glows with bright
fall colors of yellow, red, and purple.

Gennie DeWeese (b. 1921)
Gennie DeWeese
has lived, painted, and taught in Bozeman since 1950.
She has exhibited widely throughout the region and won
numerous awards for individual works.
In addition she
has been awarded both the Governor’s Award for
the Arts and an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts in recognition
of her long-term contributions to the Montana art scene.
